Brian and Liz Married!

I love photographing weddings. I love seeing the bride and groom so so happy and I love seeing their families being so happy. These two were no exception! I loved the way they were so obviously in love!

Brian and Liz were married on Friday in the Los Angeles California LDS Temple.

...and i got to come along and witness their perfect day!

this little girl was adorable. one moment she was loving Brian...

and then next thing i know her bouquet is in his face!! I was dying.

Congrats Brian and Liz! It was such a happy and beautiful day. Thank you to Sarah Hull who let me tag along with her as her second shooter for our second wedding together!! I loved it. I love shooting with Sarah.  There are always lots of good laughs, more laughs, good food (we may or may not have stopped at jack-in-the-box on the way to the reception), and more good laughs with her!  

note: Sarah and I coincidentally wore "matching" outfits that day. As in people would say,

"Oh, just look for the photographers in the yellow sweaters and purple shoes!"

I know. What a combination to have just "coincidentally" worn together...

however..true story!

It all happened only six months ago!

Ana and Trent's engagements were taken at The Getty Villa in Malibu.

It was beautiful!

(Speaking of beautiful...Ana! you are stunning!)

There are bright pink hydrangeas in front of my house now that the sun stays up late and the weather is warm.

It is the season of my favorite foods. fruit of all size, color and taste, (my favorite!) corn on the cob at BBQ's and light and fresh salads.

i can wake up early in the mornings without shivering under my covers, and the smell of sunscreen reminds me of my childhood.

I will soon be returning to Washington for a week for my life long family tradition to visit my grandparents in their little home in the woods that always smells like campfire and fresh evergreen trees.

i am so glad its here. Summer has waited too long.

workshop sneak peak!

On Saturday, I was able to go to my very first photography workshop.

Let me tell you...it was awesome! It was hosted by Tonya Joy, who takes gorgeous photos and is so so talented, so of course I was so excited to be able to learn from her!

We had a couple shoots during the day. One was a family shoot and the other was an evening mock wedding shoot.

Can you even handle how BEAUTIFUL these models are???

these guys were the best. they had so much energy and didnt mind when i made them lay down on the grass...(and the cement!) and they were up for anything and everything. thanks again guys! i am SO excited for you!!!

why i love june

now all i need is a vacation or two, some bbq-ing, a picnic basket, and my camera.

1. 1940's dress from salvage life. i die over dresses like these. old things. if only i was rich and had this much money laying around. burning a hole in my pocket.
2. tulip cupcake liners!?!?! cupcake social. that just combined 2 of my favorite things!
3. i love wall decals. however, i feel they can get dangerous for me. i feel like i would go overboard. surface inspired.
4. old things. again. im sorry! i just cant get away from them! if you read this post, you already know im fascinated by things old enough to have seen so many things in its lifetime. its perfect. the fancy lamb.
